Teresa Font, recipient of the award for an outstanding career in the film industry

The Cine por Mujeres Festival, wants to join the Women’s Day Celebration by making known the Festival’s 2019 Award for an Outstanding career in the film industry. The award aims to highlight the priceless contribution of a leading lady behind the cameras of some great movies: the editor Teresa Font.
The award presentation at the Festival’s second edition will take place on March 25 at 8.00pm on the occasion of The Opening ceremony of the Cine por Mujeres Festival, at the Palacio de la Prensa, Plaza de Callao nº4, Madrid. The ceremony will be hosted by TV personality, Beatriz Montañez.
Teresa Font wants to share her emotions and acknowledge receiving this prestigious award: « I owe what I am or may represent in the film industry to the film-editing job. Doing it I have found my means of expression and my place in the world; so this award means a recognition of my craft».
Teresa Font Teresa Font is an editor of programs for television, series, documentaries and movies, having to her credit more than 77 films and 40 years of profession. From the very beginning of her career she has worked with outstanding Spanish film directors such as: Pedro Almodóvar, Vicente Aranda, Álvaro Brechner, Alex de la Iglesia, Ricardo Franco, Terry Gilliam, Gerardo Herrero, Bigas Luna, Belén Macías, Ramón Salazar, Helena Taberna and Imanol Uribe. Furthermore, she has received important awards such as the 1994 Goya for Best Editing with the film Días Contados by Imanol Uribe.
