The Cine por Mujeres Festival is aimed at all audiences with the goal of becoming a can’t miss annual event on the international scene of Film festivals. The film directors of our time do not avoid any genre. On this occasion, fiction dominates the Competition section in which ten films produced in the last two years (2017 and 2018) will be screened.
Ten films directed by ten women from different countries (Ethiopia-Israel, Korea, United States, Mexico, Finland, Italy, Slovenia, Switzerland and Germany) will be screened at the Cine Estudio of the Círculo de Bellas Artes. www.circulobellasartes.com. Admission: 4€
The Competition Section will be hosted by the journalist Beatriz Montañez, who will also moderate the colloquium at the end of each of the screenings with the directors attending the festival: Emily Atef, Zaida Bergroth, Laura Bispuri, Hanna Slak and Bettina Oberli.
The films in competition opt for the Best Film Award, granted by an international jury. In addition, the organization of the 2019 edition of the Festival Cine por Mujeres 2019 and IBERIA has joined efforts to support the talent and creativity of women. To this end, they have jointly created the IBERIA Audience Award, a cash prize of € 3000 for the winning film. This prize will be decided by the attendants to the Competition Section. The voters will participate in a raffle of two IBERIA gift plane tickets.
