Sinopsis
Fiction. On the night of April 24-25, 1974, non-commissioned officers of the Portuguese army began a coup against the Oliveira Salazar dictatorship. Their deed will go down in history as "the Carnation Revolution". The film recreates the story of Captain Salgueiro Maia, one of the heroes of the military uprising.
Maria de Medeiros is a Portuguese actress, film director and singer. She has a diploma from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Techniques du Théâtre and the Conservatoire National d'Art de Paris. Her first feature film was Silvestre, by João César Monteiro. She continued her career with Philip Kaufman's Henry and June (1990) and Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction (1994). In 2000 he directed her first feature film, April Captains. She does other works such as Vindo a São Paulo (2004), Mathilde au Matin (2004), Je t'aime, moi non plus: artistes et critiques (2004), A Morte do Principe (1991), Fragment II (1988) and Sévérine C. (1987).
