Sinopsis
Fiction. Early in the morning, many people head towards a wedding hall: Youcef, a street vendor; Salima, a member of the kitchen staff, and Sonia, a singer. Everyone has reasons to attend Kamila and Khaled's wedding, but each has a different motivation.
Born in Bordj-Ménaiel (Algeria), Fatma Zohra Zamoum is a screenwriter, director and producer. After studying at the School of Fine Arts in Algiers (1985-1988), she went to Paris to study Art History and Cinematography and Audiovisual Studies at the Sorbonne, where she graduated in 1995. In 2005, she directed a short film, ‘La Pelote de Laine’, and is the author of several books, including ‘Comment j'ai fumé tous mes livres’ (2006). In 2009, Zamoum directed her first feature film, Z'har, which shows scenes from the violence that Algeria experienced in the 1990s. She directed a documentary on Sembene Ousmane's work, titled ‘Le Docker Noir, Sembene Ousmane’ (2009 ). In 2011, she directed and produced her second feature film, ‘Kedach Ethabni’ (How Big Is Your Love), and in 2014 she directed and produced a historical docudrama for Algerian television. Zamoum's latest projects include two films in post-production: ‘BODY + ART’, a documentary about the artists of the 60s and 70s, and ‘PARKOUR (S), aka RESET’, a narrative feature film. In 2008 she co-founded a production and distribution company called Z et Compagnie Productions.
