Sinopsis
Fiction. Returning to her unstructured family with her French husband Benjamin, pregnant writer Huang Xiaoyu finds herself trapped between her mother, Li Jiumei, who has been brainwashed by a sect, and her father, Huang Tao, who is secretly gay.
Born in 1987 in Beijing, China, Lisa Zi Xiang is a director and screenwriter. She graduated in Economics from Beijing Forestry University before studying film in New York. After marrying her fellow student and filmmaker José Val Bal, the couple moved to Spain, where they worked together on documentaries and web series. She completed the script for her first feature film, A Dog Barking at the Moon, in August 2017 and shot the film in June 2018, when she was four months pregnant with her second daughter. She also writes short stories and poetry.
