La isla de las mentiras

La isla de las mentiras

Sinopsis

Fiction. Based on real events. In the early morning of January 2, 1921, the ship Santa Isabel, bound for Buenos Aires with 260 people on board sunk off the rugged and hard coast of the island of Sálvora, in Galicia. In the absence of men on the island, three young islanders, María (Nerea Barros), Josefa (Victoria Teijeiro) and Cipriana (Ana Oca), decide to go to the rescue and saved 48 people, a heroic act that would pay for dearly. After these events, an Argentinian journalist, León (Darío Grandinetti), goes to Sálvora to cover the news of the shipwreck. Step by step he discovers that there were too many coincidences on the island that night, even suspecting that the shipwreck could have been caused. From then on nothing will be the same. The shipwreck will shake and change the life on the island forever.
