Sinopsis

Fiction: in 1963 France, Anne, a bright young student with a promising future, discovers that she is pregnant. Overnight she sees the opportunity to finish her studies and escape from the suffocating restrictions of her environment cut short. As her final exams approach and her social life begins to fade, Anne's pregnancy progresses, forcing her to confront the shame and pain of an abortion, even if she must risk prison to do so.

Audrey Diwan

Audrey Diwan is a French film director of Lebanese origin. She became a screenwriter after studying journalism and political science. She published her first novel in 2008. She started out in film as a co-writer on a series of thrillers including Paris Under Watch, The Connection and Bac.
