Sinopsis
Sol is a divorcee. One night when she is going to ask her ex-husband for her child-support allowance, her seven-year-old son, Christian, is kidnapped. In her journey to find clues to Christian's whereabouts, she will gradually disengage from her daily activities and her mental health will be affected at times to the point of reaching a state of delirium. Nevertheless, her hope of finding Christian will keep her afloat for the long haul.
Mexican film director and screenwriter. She graduated in Visual Arts from the University of Guadalajara. She worked as a production assistant on TV series such as Capadocia and Terminales. She also participated in the Guanajato International Film Festival, then known as Expresión en corto Festival. As a director and screenwriter, she has made the short films Muerte anunciada (2006) and El milagrito de San Jacinto (2007), before debuting in feature films with the acclaimed The amazing Cat Fish (2013). The empty box (2016) was her second feature film and Sol’s Journey is her third one (2021).
