Sinopsis
Marta flees the city where she grew up, Cornellà, to try to make it big in Barcelona’s art world. After a series of frustrating situations, she is forced to return to her hometown. There, she is reunited with her childhood friends and experiences loyal, authentic friendships. By returning to her roots, Marta will discover that her greatest insecurity, being from the suburbs, may be her greatest strength.
Born in Cornellà de Llobregat, Barcelona. She studied Audiovisual Communication at Ramon Llull University. She has written and directed short films and documentaries, and one of her most outstanding works, the short film La vella lluita (2020), was nominated for a Gaudí award. She has also participated in different art exhibitions and her photographs have been shown in several museums and art galleries in Spain. In 2020 she directed her first feature film, Chavalas, which premiered in Spain in September 2021.
