Sinopsis

In Barcelona, ​​Carlota undertakes a desperate search for Marc, her teenage son, who ran away from home without leaving a trace. Thousands of kilometers away, the region of Sinjar, located on the border between Iraq and Syria, lives under the threat of war. Hadia is there, forced to live as a slave with three of her children in the service of a family. On the other hand, Arjin manages to escape from captivity and in her attempt to return home, ends up joining the Kurdish militias. Three women separated from their loved ones; how far will they be willing to go to get them back?


Anna Bofarull

Screenwriter, director and producer, she has a degree in liberal arts and cinema. She was a student at the Berlinale Talents, Sources 2, the Torino Film Lab, the Midpoint Institute and EWA Mentoring. In 2007 she founded her production company, KaBoGa art & films, specializing in arthouse cinema, fiction feature films and documentaries. Her documentary feature films Notas al pie (2009) and Hammada (2011) as well as her fiction feature films Sonata para Violoncelo (2015) and Barcelona 1714 (2019) have been screened and awarded at international festivals such as Montréal, Sao Paulo, Thessaloniki, Valladolid, Reykjavik, Gijón and Malaga.
