Benita Navacerrada is the daughter of Facundo Navacerrada Perdiguero, founder of the worker’s union UGT in San Sebastián de los Reyes in 1936. Her story is linked to the historical memory of Spain, since her father was shot in 1939, during the Francoist repression after the Spanish Civil War. Benita has been a key figure in the preservation of her father's memory and in the fight for justice and recognition of the victims of Franco's repression.
