Sinopsis
Documentary. As her childhood turns into motherhood, teenage troublemaker Gemma comes of age in her decadent Scottish steel town. But in a place where "you either get knocked up or locked up," innocent games can easily turn into serious crime.
Ellinor Hallin is a Swedish director and cinematographer with a background in documentary. She has moved freely between documentary and fiction, often working with Swedish television SVT and Zentropa Sweden. She has done the photography of Gösta, by Lukas Moodysson, the first Swedish original series for HBO. Her work on the feature film In i Dimman earned her a Guldbagge nomination for Best Cinematography in 2019. Scheme Birds (2019) is her feature debut as director.

Main Festivals and Awards: Ellinor Hallin is the winner with Scheme Birds of the Special Mention of the Jury at the Taiwan International Documentary Film Festival and she won at the Tribeca Film Festival the Award for Best Documentary Feature and Best Documentary, also the Maysles Brothers Award for Best Documentary at the Denver International Film Festival.
