512 Hours with Marina Abramović
Sinopsis
Documentary film. In the summer of 2014, tens of thousands of visitors flocked to London to see the latest exhibition by acclaimed performance artist Marina Abramović, only to discover themselves as subjects of her groundbreaking new work.
Adina Istrate is a London Film School graduate with a background in writing for television, Adina has garnered international recognition from institutions and funders including the MEDIA Programme, European Commission, Berlinale Short Film Station, BAFTA and Film London. She is currently in development with Eve, her debut fiction feature. The project received development support from the Venice Biennale College Cinema, IFP and the Wellcome Trust.
Giannina La Salvia earned her BA in Film & Digital Media from UCSC and her MA in Filmmaking from the London Film School, graduating with Hot & Bothered, a short comedy about climate change, which screened at festivals internationally and secured distribution on the Sundance Channel through AMC. A television series based on the short film was shortlisted for the inaugural Sundance YouTube/New Voices Lab.
Marina Abramović is one of the most important performance artists in the world. Over the past 50 years, Marina Abramović has earned worldwide acclaim as a pioneer of performance art. Abramović has consistently tested the limits of her own physical and mental endurance in her work – and invited audiences to encounter it with her.
